Founded in April 1993, BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd. (BOE) is a leading IoT company providing intelligent interface products and professional services for information interaction and human health. It has formed a “1+4+N+Eco-chain” business structure with the semiconductor display business as the core and featuring the integrated development of IoT innovation, sensor and solutions, MLED and smart engineering medicine.
As of 2021, BOE had independently filed more than 70,000 patent applications to patent offices around the world. Out of the new patent applications, over 90% were patents for inventions and above 35% were filed overseas, such as the United States, Europe, Japan and South Korea. According to the 2021 U.S. Patent Grant Statistics Report released by IFI CLAIMS Patent Services, BOE moved up two places to 11th in the global ranking, making it into the top 20 for the fourth consecutive year. According to the 2021 ranking of international patent applications published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), BOE ranked seventh in the world with 1,980 PCT patent applications, staying among the top 10 for six years in a row.
BOE owns a number of manufacturing sites in Beijing, Hefei, Chengdu, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Mianyang, Wuhan, Kunming, Suzhou, Ordos, Gu’an, etc. Its subsidiaries span 20 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Britain, France, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, India, Russia, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates. Its service network covers major regions in Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and beyond.

Semiconductor Display Business
As a global leader in the semiconductor display industry, BOE has led China’s display industry to grow from the ground up. At present, one out of four display products in the world comes from BOE. Our UHD, flexible, micro display and other solutions have been extensively used by well-known brands at home and abroad. According to global market research agencies Omdia and Sigmaintell, in the first three quarters of 2022, BOE remained No. 1 in the world by shipments of LCD panels for smart phone, tablet, notebook, monitor and TV.

Sensor and Solution Business
The sensor and solutions business focuses on various fields such as medical imaging, bioassay, smart window, microwave communication and fingerprint recognition. It provides a full line of rear panel products for flat panel X-ray detector (FPXD) ranging from 12 inches to 46 inches, which have been widely used by high-end medical device companies in Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea, among others. Through display and sensing technology innovation, the smart window business offers highly competitive sensing devices and solutions designed for transportation, construction and other sectors.

MLED Business
In the MLED field, BOE capitalizes on its proprietary active drive architecture and high-speed transfer printing technology to provide customers with next-generation LED display systems and solutions empowered by semiconductor technologies and micrometer-level packaging technologies. It has rolled out the chip-on-glass 75-inch 8K Mini LED and 0.9mm pixel pitch Mini LED display products, which deliver a brand-new visual experience to users.

IoT Innovation Business
Leveraging AI, big data and cloud computing technologies, the IoT innovation business provides total solutions for a variety of IoT segments, such as smart finance, smart park, smart retail, smart mobility and visual art. It focuses on products and services that integrate software and hardware. As of the end of September 2022, smart finance solutions had been applied at over 2,800 financial institution branches across the country, smart park solutions been implemented in over 20 cities and smart retail solutions served more than 30,000 stores around the world. These products and services create a more convenient and smarter living experience for people.

Smart Medicine and Engineering Business
Through the integration and innovation of technology and medicine, the smart engineering medicine business has built an intelligent tiered health management system empowered by IoT technology, formed a smart health management ecosystem, and developed a closed loop of full-lifecycle healthcare services centered on health management, with smart devices as tools and based on digital hospitals. All these serve the purpose of improving people’s health. At present, BOE has several digital hospitals in Beijing, Hefei, Chengdu and Suzhou, which provide full-lifecycle and all-round health services that put people front and center.
